Mass Effect PC Copyright Protection Removed

Last week, Mass Effect fans patiently waiting for this game to be released on PC were in uproar over an announced security measure that would require all Mass Effect PC games to connect to EA every 10 days to verify the game’s authenticity. It looks like Bioware took notice of gamers’ reactions. Bioware announced today that they are removing that portion of the games security. Under the new system, gamers will only have to authorize their CD key once online. They can activate that key up to three times in case they want to install the game on multiple computers.

This is great news for PC gamers. Now that the security issues have been fixed, we can expect Mass Effect’s launch on the PC to be huge.
